Description / Abstract
This study included an investigation of several issues relative to higher education new student enrollments. The focus was on internal and external factors contributing to a decrease in higher education enrollments over the past decade. Specifically, the study looked at Indiana Wesleyan University’s (IWU) National and Global division and the enrollment trends and financial status over the past five years. The research led to developing solutions that are controlled internally versus externally. Participants included a wide spectrum of employees representing IWU. The resulting recommended solutions focused on effectively training and developing new enrollment counselors earlier in the onboarding process to improve contribution to enrollment goals, ultimately increasing enrollments for the university.
