Description / Abstract

This study assesses the diversity of the viral genome of Cowpea Mosaic Virus over the course of infection within the plant species Vigna unguiculata. The overarching goal was to create a new lab protocol for viral genome sequence analysis in the Koudelka Research Lab. Through the utilization of new genome sequencing technology, RNA was successfully extracted from virus, partially sequenced, and computationally analyzed.
