Called Unto Holiness: 1964/1965, Bethany Nazarene College; vocal members include Bob Rist, Charles Isbell, Wayne Brown, and Tim Whittaker.
From the back album cover:
"Four young men are selected each year as members of the Collegiate Quartet. The Collegiate Quartet has represented Bethany Nazarene College since 1957. BNC is an accredited four-year liberal arts college serving seven states comprising the south-central educational zone of the Church of the Nazarene.
The Collegiates travel almost 40,000 miles annually. They perform for campus activities, churches, civic clubs, and summer youth camps. These appearances are arranged by Dr.Curtis Smith, Assistant to the President of the college. Kathy Porter, a Junior music major, accompanies the Collegiates for· their on campus appearances, and is heard on the record.
BOB RIST is the "best rounded" member of the quartet according to his colleagues. The talented first tenor won the International Youth For Christ men's vocal solo contest in 1963. Bob is a freshman music education major from Kansas City, Kansas. CHARLES ISBELL is the oldest of the group in spite of his boyish looks. The junior religion major is the preacher for the quartet. In addition to singing second tenor, Charles occasionally accompanies the Collegiates. Crowley, Louisiana, is Charles' home town. WAYNE BROWN, the Collegiate's "Big Daddy", is a junior pre-med student from Cimarron, Kansas. He is a member of the General NYPS Council. Besides singing baritone, Wayne leads the congregational singing at church appearances. TIM WHITTAKER, with his winning smile and bass voice, delights the many audiences for which the Collegiates perform. Coming from Shreveport, Louisiana, Tim is a freshman religious education major.
